I'm finally home! And it's everything I dreamed and more...Last week was hectic, stressful, and exhausting. After endless days of drawing floor plans and sections and one tearfilled frustrating evening of making our model, I walked away with blistered fingers and the satisfaction of knowing just how much effort I put into the project. The night of reviews was a blast, but I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to everyone. I left friday morning, and just like last semester, I stayed up all night before so my flight was quick and painless. So now I'm back and here's what's going on in Charleston:|
-answering my request for beef, as in cows that once said moo, for my welcome home dinner, my mom spent a small fortune on steaks from the New York Butcher. of course she left them in the refrigerator at her office though, so instead we had BiLo steaks from the freezer....I'm still awaiting my nice steak dinner.
-I somehow fried my cell phone by charging it the night before I left Spain, I used the adapter and all but somehow it got fried. so I got a new one yesterday and for some reason had to get a new number too. except the new number they gave me has Tom Cooper's voice on the voice mail and I get random calls from people I don't know. I'm not sure who Mr. Cooper is or why they gave me his phone/number but Suncom said I could have my old number back next week. I am so confused.
-my parents managed to lose both sets of my car keys while I was gone. the cause of more knockdown dragout fights than were necessary in my first 48 hours home. thank goodness Bradford had my spare, so I am no longer carless, but I'd still like to have my real keys w/ the little remote and all.
-I went to the grocery store and had a blast w/ Ned's credit card...I didn't realize just how much food we'd been missing out on!
Other than that I've just been hanging out w/ Bradford and Heyward, and started work yesterday. Home is great. I love it. And I'm not leaving here for a long long time!
